Feast your eyes upon this Bio-Fey-Steampunk story with inherent elements of the Gothic Genre drawn in a Theater Noir style about life, death, dreams, reality, and why you don't associate with Undead Cabbages.
This comic contains violence, gore, nudity, and controversial topics such as drugs, sex, religion, and the aerodynamics of a human kidney. Viewer discretion is strongly advised.
KIDNEYS!!!!

And this would be the first page with gore.
Before anybody points that ripping out someone’s kidneys probably wouldn’t look like this, let me clarify one thing: I’m not a big fan of ‘realistic’ gore. In university my major was Zoology, so I studied a lot of dissections, physiology and anatomy. This means that whenever I watch something like Saw or Hostel, my mind naturally just goes “Nope, not enough adipose tissue”, “There’s totally supposed to be a mesentery there”, “Wait, why doesn’t that guy have a pericardium?” ‘Realistic’ gore for me looks very unrealistic.
Openly unrealistic gore, on the other hand, is fucking hilarious. The scene in Repo the Genetic Opera where Anthony Steward Head puts his hand up a dude’s mid-section and uses him as a puppet…priceless! So rather than spend time actually worrying about making things ‘realistic’, I’m just going to give you guys a little wink and nudge and say that these are “Kidneys” and they are part of a “Human’s anatomy”.

Darn, one of the reasons I like Parasyte so much is the realistic gore
