Couldn't sleep last night because my mind went on a Tagent about George Orwell's Animal Farm. For better or for worse, here we go.

Ok, so Disney characters. Pluto belongs to Mickey. Pluto is a dog, Mickey is a Mouse. Why on earth is a perfectly good member of the genus Canidae obedient to such a short-lived species of rodent?

And before you say anything, with the exception of Winnie the Pooh (which is about stuffed animals, not real ones), Disney respects food chains (Cats eat mice, Dogs chase cats, etc). We can answer this question by looking at Goofy. Goofy and Pluto are both of the same species, and are roughly the same size. However, Goofy is treated as a fellow sentient being, while Pluto is subservient.

Intelligence isn't a factor, since Goofy lacks cognitive ability, while Pluto often finds solutions for challenging problems.

Now take a look at other stories in the Disney Universe. The social structure in Disney is such that animals that wear clothes and walk on two legs are on a higher social rung than animals that walk on four legs.

Point in case: The anthropomorphic Robin Hood is about respecting the rights of all citizens (clothes bipeds), while The Lion King is about citizens respecting their place in a rigid heirarchy (naked quadrepeds).

Pluto the dog was created 1930, George Orwell's Animal Farm was published 1945. Now I understand where George got the idea.

Is it intentional

that whoever voices the idea of her strings is so hard to read?
Otherwise cool page.

Eh, probably not at intentional as it probably is. I realize now that with a black background around the page, the letters don't stand out as much.

It reads "Nobody's good at nothing. Take one step at a time, pull at the strings, and you'll see that everything can be broken into pieces."

Thank you for tolerating the experimentation, everyone. I guess I'll need to go back and do some editing of this page.

I love her pose at the end.

It looks like the strings donīt just come out because she thinks about them, itīs also because of her movements and stance.
The shift in colour, apart from telling us the movements in pink are in her thoughts only, make the last panel even more impressive.
If you get around to it (and feel like it), I believe everyone here would love to see that last panel in centerfold size.

@Arkh Cthuul: That's the doll's font. She, or the part of D that became Sally, is voicing that.

And thus, the Days of the Razorfloss have finally begun.
This comic is awesome.

Now I need to come up with a better name than Razorfloss.

Sadly, I can not claim the rights on this word.
tvtropes is where I know this from.
But yeah, awesome Band Name.

@ M: I thought as much. But since it was so hard to read....;)

@ Zoo: I like the experimental style you use quite a bit. But then, I like your comic a lot, so....;)

As for Razorfloss: Good name. If it has to be another, how about: Sawsilk, or maybe cutting edge floss? ;)

@ Jef
Fuck, another website that will eat hours of my time. Well, better start reading.

@M
A centerfold piece is now in the idea box. Mind you, that idea box is huge, and it's sitting under a fifty foot billboard that says "Two pages a week, maggot!"

@ Arkh
I'm glad you're diggin' the experimentation. Experiments are how we accomplish things, like Animal-Human hybrids that serve us tea and crumpets.
